Architectural Stone Carving: Short Course

This short course will provide an in-depth introduction to carving structural elements in stone. The course will take place on Thursdays for four weeks. Please see information below for dates and times of sessions. Participants will increase their knowledge of types of building stone, appropriate tools and methods, and how to produce elements with accuracy. Participants will each work on a voussoir, which together will result in a stone arch to be installed on site at the end of the course.

 The course will take place on Thursdays for four weeks starting on 22 January to 26 February 2026. 10am - 4pm daily at  Moira Works Depot Station Road Moira BT67 0NE
